Education
Nick has worked in music education for over fifteen years, teaching in both mainstream and specialist schools, as well as delivering instrumental lessons and creative workshops for children and adults.
His approach to teaching is centred on helping every learner discover and develop their own musical potential through creative, engaging and enjoyable experiences. Rather than following a single teaching method, Nick draws on a range of approaches, including the work of Kodály and Dalcroze, adapting his teaching to suit the needs of each individual or group.
Working in specialist education, including with autistic children and young people, has given Nick a deep appreciation of music's social, emotional and therapeutic value. He creates inclusive, multi-sensory musical experiences that enable every learner to engage with music in the way that works best for them.
Alongside his work in schools, Nick has led holiday music clubs, teaches saxophone, guitar and piano to children and adults, and has worked with organisations including Sutton Music Trust, Merton Music and Greenwich Music School.
