Installations

A multi-media art installation devised and created through a week of workshops held at The Royal Opera House's production park in Purfleet. 'Visual artist Lucy Steggals, sound artist Nick Jones and digital artist Richard Bevan worked with children and adults of all ages to explore opera, ballet, set, prop and costume design as well as some of the processes involved in creating effects on stage to create this installation.

An interactive sound and light installation created for a pre-opera Victorian fairground at the Royal Opera House's new production park in Purfleet, Thurrock.

This interactive installation was created with members of Might Mega Sounds, Discover's Saturday morning music club for children with disabilities. Ideas for the installation, as well as music and sound, were developed through workshops with the children and then made into a Time Machine by Nick J Jones and Gary Day.

The Rave Room was an installation setup at Trinity College of Music as part of TrinityLABAN's improvisation festival. The installation took over a practice room at the college (one usually used by the early music department) and turned it into a condensed rave which no one could enter.

My first installation created in my 2nd year at Trinity. The idea behind the installation was to create a garden of sound purely out of recordings of Chinese gongs. Sounds were manipulated to represent aspects of a garden (e.g. landscape, creatures, water features etc.) and then programmed to have a mind of their own using max/msp.
